Project vegetable: kohlrabi

I’ve done a terrible job keeping up with my “double chai” goals (she says as she gulps down a sugary coffee) and a non-existent job at recording my vegetables, but at least I have been eating veggies!

Yesterday I was given a kohlrabi (kohlrabus?) to try. My verdict? Tastes like chicken. No, kidding! Tastes like broccoli. (Which I still can’t spell.) I ate a small piece raw (tastes like broccoli) then made little wedges, tossed them with a smidge of olive oil, salt, and curry powder, and roasted it. Still tastes like broccoli. I may eat kohlrabi more often as I can spell it, but I suspect it costs more than broccoli, so I may not. We’ll see.
